{"id":1711,"date":"2021-02-09T09:38:08","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T08:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/insights\/actualites\/actualite\/winners-twb-awards-2021\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T09:33:52","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T08:33:52","slug":"winners-twb-awards-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/insights\/blog\/winners-twb-awards-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Winners TWB Awards 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong> Two pitch contests were organised to promote entrepreneurship as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/twb-start-up-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">4<sup>th<\/sup> edition of the TWB\u00ae START-UP DAY<\/a>, an event dedicated to the industrial biotechnology community and beyond.<\/strong> This new edition, in digital and live version, focused on two major themes: Biotech &amp; Circularity and Data &amp; Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Winner &#8220;Fast track it!&#8221; pitch contest<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2021\/02\/zymvol-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11915 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2021\/02\/zymvol-300x159-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"80\" \/><\/a><\/strong><strong>The &#8220;Fast track it! &#8220;contest, dedicated to European start-ups of 8 years old or less of activity, in the development phase, aims to select and support the start-up with the most innovative solution.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong>: Technical services on TWB platforms valued at \u20ac50,000 as well as communication opportunities with IAR (The French Bioeconomy cluster), partner of the contest.<\/p>\n<p>This year, 5 start-ups have been pre-selected: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bioeb.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BioEB<\/a> (FR), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ddna-biotech.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dutch DNA<\/a>(NL), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lantanabio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lantana Bio<\/a> (FR), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xtrembiotech.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">XTREM BIOTECH<\/a> (ES), <a href=\"https:\/\/zymvol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ZYMVOL<\/a> (ES) pitched in front of a jury of experts from the investment and innovation sector. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/zymvol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spanish start-up ZYMVOL<\/a><\/strong> won over the jury with an inspiring speech. ZYMVOL contributes its know-how to the discovery and optimisation of biocatalysts for industry through computer-assisted innovation.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Winner &#8220;Go for it!&#8221; pitch contest<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2021\/02\/fluosphera-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11909 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2021\/02\/fluosphera-300x106-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"181\" height=\"64\" \/><\/a><\/strong><strong>The &#8220;Go for it&#8221; contest, dedicated to entrepreneurs, evaluates the most promising industrial biotechnological idea, research or innovation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong>: 4 days of mentoring services provided by TWB and its ecosystem, and by the contest partners: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lafrenchtechtoulouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La French Tech Toulouse<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/shakeupfactory.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ShakeUp Factory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>5 entrepreneurs came to present their start-up project.
