{"id":4369,"date":"2018-03-22T10:59:48","date_gmt":"2018-03-22T09:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/insights\/actualites\/actualite\/activity-report-2017\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T14:27:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T13:27:20","slug":"activity-report-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/insights\/blog\/activity-report-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"TWB Activity report 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TWB impact in the innovation process in life science applications was confirmed in 2017.\r\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rapport-activite-twb-2017-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7253 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rapport-activite-twb-2017-146x300-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"226\" height=\"464\"><\/a>With <strong>85 collaborators<\/strong> at the end of 2017 and a turn-over of \u20ac8M, TWB has a stable growth.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">TWB attractiveness has been confirmed: <strong>8 new industrial partners joined the consortium in 2017, leading to a total number of <\/strong><strong>53 private and public partners<\/strong> in the consortium.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>45 projects<\/strong> (R&amp;D and services) \u2013 including 26 new projects \u2013 were active in 2017, which is a significant activity.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two flagship projects have moved to the industrial pilot stage: SYNTHACs with the company ADISSEO and THANAPLAST with CARBIOS.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Value generation in TWB collaborative ecosystem has been developed: the technological support to young companies has allowed them to raise funds or to create subsidiaries.\r\nIn 2017, alongside the start-ups EnobraQ and PILI, two more burgeoning companies chose to locate themselves within TWB: <strong>Micropep Technologies<\/strong> and <strong>BFC<\/strong> (Biotech Fine Chemicals).<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The equipment investment of the technical platforms continued especially concerning the fermentation platform with two additional reactors (5 &amp; 20L) and the integration of Heurisko innovative technology for the natural selection of microorganisms.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lastly, TWB increased communication initiatives in 2017 and organized international seminars and conferences including the &#8220;Enzyme Engineering Conference&#8221; in October 2017 in Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[button link=&#8221;https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/TWB-RA_VF_2018-BD.pdf&#8221; color=&#8221;white&#8221; align=&#8221;left&#8221; target=&#8221;_blank&#8221; size=&#8221;default&#8221; caption=&#8221;&#8221;] Download the Activity report 2017 [\/button]<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TWB impact in the innovation process in life science applications was confirmed in 2017.
