This was the conclusion of the press conference organized on 14 March 2017 in Toulouse by TWB, with testimonials of the two start-ups hosted into TWB premises.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/p-monsancoll-twb-1-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6272 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/p-monsancoll-twb-300x210-2.jpg\" alt=\"P.Monsan&amp;coll-TWB\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\"><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<em>From left to right:<\/em>\n\n<p>J\u00e9r\u00e9mie BLACHE \u2013 CEO PILI\r\nPierre MONSAN \u2013 Founding Director TWB\r\nChristophe DARDEL \u2013 CEO EnobraQ\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2016, the two start-ups, Enobraq and Pili, moved into TWB premises.<\/p>\n\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/enobraq-raises-funds\/\">ENOBRAQ<\/a>, THE SUCCESS STORY CONTINUES<\/strong>\n\n<p>\u2013 Created at the end of 2015 by Sofinnova Partners (member of TWB\u2019s consortium) following a research project financed by TWB, EnobraQ finalized in April 2016 a \u20ac2.9 M first round of financing, with CEA Investissement and two partners of TWB consortium, Auriga Partners and IRDInov.\r\nThe start-up develops CO<\/p>\n\n<sub>2<\/sub>\n\n<p>-based industrial fermentation processes. Twenty people now work on this project at TWB.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ABOUT <a href=\"https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/twb-pili-partners-for-the-production-of-dyes\/\">PILI<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<em>\u2013 <\/em>PILI chose to move into TWB\u2019s premises in order to benefit from its cutting-edge equipment and its scientific and technological skills.\r\nThe start-up, specialized in the bioproduction of ecological dyes, aims to reach the pilot scale of the industrial manufacturing process for its first blue dye. Three PILI researchers are working in a dedicated space in TWB premises.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are <strong>other examples of successful collaboration with start-ups<\/strong> in 2016:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n \t<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/twb-amoeba-a-major-technological-advance\/\"><strong>Amoeba<\/strong><\/a> company, which collaborates with TWB since 2014, raised \u20ac15 M in 2016 and inaugurated its production site near Lyon;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>the creation of <a href=\"https:\/\/dev11.hbst.fr\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/en\/carbiolice-a-successful-collaboration\/\"><strong>Carbiolice<\/strong><\/a>, a joint-venture between the start-up Carbios and the Limagrain group, fruit of the results achieved as part of the flagship project Thanaplast in partnership with TWB.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following this direction, <strong>TWB intends to pursue and increase in 2017 the accompaniment of start-ups<\/strong> which will be the nuggets of tomorrow by providing them with both technical platforms at the cutting edge of innovation and scientific and technological support by top level teams.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More information: read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toulouse-white-biotechnology.com\/app\/uploads\/2017\/03\/press-release-twb-14-march-2017_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The TWB mechanism provides assistance and a significant acceleration to start-up development, particularly in the initial phase.
