The second edition of the National Day for the Bioproduction of Biomedicines (JNBB), organised by France Biolead, brought together over 100 participants in Toulouse. The involvement of healthcare professionals, industry representatives, academics, researchers and students in exploring the drivers of transformation within a rapidly expanding sector confirms the strong commitment of the biotherapeutics sector in Occitanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A regional initiative for a national ambition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Organised by France BioLead, the representative body for the French biopharmaceutical production sector, and coordinated locally by the TIBH<\/a> consortium (TWB, CRITT Bio-Industries<\/a>, TBI<\/a>), in partnership with the Lyc\u00e9e St\u00e9phane Hessel<\/a>, OBBI<\/a>, Bio’Occ<\/a>, CeBBOc, GTP Bioways<\/a>, CEA Tech<\/a> et Just-Evotech Biologics<\/a>, this event aimed to boost the sector\u2019s appeal, both for industry and for the talent of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training the talent of tomorrow<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The morning took place at the Lyc\u00e9e St\u00e9phane Hessel, where visitors were able to gain an insight into the STL Biotechnology course. Laboratory tours, demonstrations of augmented and virtual reality modules, and presentations of projects led by the pupils highlighted the school\u2019s educational and scientific potential. Inspiring talks punctuated the morning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • \u201cThe appeal of careers in the sector<\/strong>\u201d, with Edouard Cl\u00e9ment (LEEM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    An integrated offering, from research and training to the patient<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The afternoon continued at CEA Tech in Toulouse-Lab\u00e8ge, with a programme focusing on the integrated bioproduction offering in Occitanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This session highlighted the synergy between the various links in the regional value chain, from research to industrialisation, and the importance of integrating digital technology \u2013 particularly AI \u2013 into the sector\u2019s development. The afternoon concluded with discussions on the sector\u2019s appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • A discussion on the appeal of careers in the secto<\/strong>r, featuring speakers from IMT, Cell Easy, GTP Bioways and Bio\u2019Occ

      A sector with a bright future, a region on the move<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Beyond scientific and technical exchanges, JNBB 2025<\/strong> was characterised by a strong focus on networking, fostering connections between academic, industrial and institutional stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The event demonstrated once again that Occitanie is establishing itself as a key region in the development of biopharmaceutical production<\/strong> in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cThis event illustrates the ability of the Occitan ecosystem to join forces to address the major challenges of health, innovation and industrial sovereignty,\u201d emphasised the speakers at the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
