New pre-competitive projects 2016

Eleven new « pre-competitive » research projects were presented by the leading researchers on the subjects at TWB’s Strategic Steering Committee meeting on 4 February 2016. The four projects retained for the 2016 round are:

• XANTHALG – Understanding xanthophyll biosynthesis in Phaeodactylum tricornutum for the creation of innovative therapeutic molecules (LISBP) – Companies in the steering committee: Adisseo, Deinove, Hélioscience, L’Oréal, Protéus, Ynsect
• SUPERYEAST – Yeast engineering for an increased fermentation capacity (LISBP) – Companies in the steering committee: ARD, CIMV, Libragen, Roquette, Tereos
• CRISPY – Genome modification by the CRISPR technique in Yarrowia lipolytica (LISBP) – Companies in the steering committee: Adisseo, Agilent Technologies, Carbios, Protéus, Roquette, Solvay
• SYNTHOL – Synthetic enhancement of methanol by E.coli (Valorisation SYNTHétique du méthanOL par E. coli) (LISBP) – Companies in the steering committee: Deinove, Metex, Sofiprotéol
