GDR BioSynSys
Le GDR (Groupement De Recherche) Biologie de Synthèse et des Systèmes, BioSynSys a été créé le 1er janvier 2015 par deux laboratoires – l’ISSB à Evry et le LISBP à Toulouse – pour fédérer les forces françaises en Biologie de Synthèse et des Systèmes (BSS) et les doter d’outils pour faire émerger une communauté visible et structurée. Environ 300 personnes sont inscrites à ce jour au GDR, associant 40 institutions académiques et 7 entreprises de biotechnologie.
Les missions du GDR sont notamment d’accroître la présence française dans les programmes de recherche européens et mondiaux (ERA-SYNBIO, Horizon 2020,…), d’assurer l’animation scientifique de la communauté française de BSS et de promouvoir le rapprochement et les échanges entre partenaires académiques et industriels en facilitant les transferts de technologie sur les modèles de TWB et Genopole.

BioSynSys Research Grouping
The BioSynSys (Biologie de Synthèse et des Systèmes – Synthetic and Systems Biology) Research Grouping (GDR – Groupement De Recherche) was created on 1st January 2015 by two laboratories – the ISSB (Institute of Systems and Synthetic Biology) in Evry and the LISBP (Biosystems and Process Engineering Laboratory) in Toulouse – to combine the French strengths in Synthetic and Systems Biology (SSB) and provide them with the tools to enable a visible and structured community to emerge. About 300 people have joined the GDR to date, associating 40 academic institutions and 7 biotechnology companies.
The missions of the GDR are notably to increase the French presence in European and world research programmes (ERA-SYNBIO, Horizon 2020, etc.), to ensure the scientific animation of the French SSB community and to promote closer relations and exchanges between academic and industrial partners by facilitating technological transfer based on the models of TWB and Genopole.
