+ 2 new consortium members

TWB welcomed 2 new members during the meeting of its consortium on 22 November, 2022:  Bon Vivant and Premier Tech which joined TWB on July 2022.

Bon Vivant is a start-up created in 2021 in Lyon, which uses precision fermentation in order to manufacture milk proteins. This alternative method of production will enable Bon Vivant to supply milk proteins to actors in the dairy industry and could lead to the launch of healthier food products without lactose and cholesterol. This new production pathway will be able to avoid the environmental and animal welfare problems related to intensive farming.

Premier Tech is a Canadian group of 5 200 employees in 28 countries, its ambition is to bring life back to the soils in order to improve the agricultural yield. Its unique and green solutions include bioncontrols and biostimulants, which help enriching the soils and increase plants resistance. The activity “Premier Tech Life Sciences” (PTLS), dedicated to biotechnologies and installed in France since 2020, aims for identifying and developing new ingredients and formulas with unprecedented biological applications, offering natural alternatives to antibiotics during treatments in the field of human and animal nutrition.

The consortium is now composed of 51 private and public members (industry players – start-ups, SMEs, ETIs and large groups; investors; tech transfer structures; competitiveness clusters and local authorities; public research operators: INRAE, INSA Toulouse, CNRS). The companies operate in different fields : Chemistry & materials, Health, Food & Feed, Agriculture, Well-being & Cosmetics, Energy and Environment.
